Uncontested Style: Edwardian Handcrafted Three Stone Ring
Buccellati* has nothing on this ring! In keeping with his tradition of excellence of craftsmanship, delicate settings and luxury of stones, this handmade Edwardian era ring holds its own.
The inspired design is hand-crafted in 18k white and yellow gold that adroitly presents the sacred trinity of gemstones. The reigning monarch is an old European cut diamond of an estimated .75 carats (G-H color, VS2-1 clarity) cut in such a manner that accentuates the scintillation (the way in which a diamond breaks up light into prismatic colors). The companion gems consist of a natural round faceted ruby of about .22 carats and a natural square faceted emerald estimated at .23 carats (and only lightly included).
Each of the stones is claw set with a yellow gold crown mounting that appears to float within hand textured white gold frames of the open work shank with inlays of yellow gold all around. The flashing colors of a deep green and a rich saturated pink with hot highlights combine with the brilliance of glittering white in the creation of a most fantastic eye-catching handmade ring of uncontested sophistication and elegance.
Condition: Very good; stones are excellent; shank has one yellow gold insert missing at the back.
