Teardrops of Light - Georgian Paste Earrings
Luscious drops of pure icy white shimmer drop and dangle below a faceted dot of paste. In the 18th century, most jewelry was set closed backed, foiled and another feature less commonly noted, with bulbous backs. These rounded, full shapes are one trademark of the era. Pure paste is faceted and set into cut down, pinched silver settings. Surely one of the most flattering of shapes for the face is the sexy teardrop.
