My Heart Be Still: Early Victorian Fancy Locket
Just like that antique frame on the mantelpiece displaying the distinguished family photo of long ago, this Victorian locket gets right to the heart of showcasing a cherished keepsake. Not the usual pendant locket, this one is rendered in 18k yellow gold with beautiful repoussé and cannetille gold work. The original heart-shaped glass top is hinged and is lifted to open. The ornamental surround is a veritable feast for the eyes with its floral and leaf motif.
Condition: Very good; one frill of gold pushed in; a few minor indentions; light wear to glass and gold commensurate with age and use.
