Ring of Fire - Rapturous Diamond Bracelet

$17,500 USD Item 11342

Light and grandeur encircle the wrist as two hundred (200) charismatic diamonds encrust this late Victorian era bracelet.

The center holds forty (40) old mine cut diamonds which range in size from .04 carats up to a worthy .25 carats. Colors range from I-J; all read white and dazzling. When viewed very closely each is slightly distinctive in size, shape and depth as only hand-cut and hand-polished diamonds can be. The central band contains approximately 4.4 carats of diamonds.

Along each edge is a frill which combines a fleur-de-lis motif studded with three rose cuts diamonds that alternates with a dollop of shimmer in another rose cut diamond solo within a circular mount. An additional 1.6 carats of diamonds adds to the cache for a total estimated diamond weight of 6 carats.

The mount is typical of late 19th century with silver over 18k yellow gold. Platinum, not as yet in wide use, was virtually unknown at this point for jewelry, and the only white metal used to set off a diamond's whiteness was silver. Superbly constructed, this piece was most likely imported into France for the French market. Weighty and finely crafted, it is all hand-fabricated. Using a loupe the tiny variations within each piece can be seen as can the impeccably finished interior. Putting this on the wrist is an experience unto itself and generates an unmistakable feeling which will pervade your very being.
