Rage of the Raj Tiger Claw Earrings
A jacket of 9k rose gold follows the sensuous curves of the claw of a tiger native to the Asian continent of India. These exotic earrings are all original and still retain the ear wires crafted specifically for them. Each of the shepherd’s hook ear fittings are ornamented with an orb of matching rose gold.
Condition: Excellent. There are natural variations in the color of the claws due to the organic nature of the material.
Measurements: 1-3/8 inches (3.6 cm) in length including ear wire by ½ of an inch (1.2 cm) at the widest. The claw alone is ¾ of an inch (1.8 cm) in length including top fitting. Each earring weighs 1.4 grams, for a total of 2.8 grams for the pair.
Date & Origin: Circa 1915 – 1920 and is most likely Raj Indian or British in origin.
