Lapis Lazuli Etruscan Revival Bracelet

SOLD Item 11177

The Etruscan culture (circa 800 BC to about 300 BC) produced some of the finest gold work in the ancient world. Known for their use of a technique called granulation, tiny beads of gold are melted and dropped onto a gold surface and adhered without the aid of solder. It is a difficult and painstaking process.

Here, an exceptional bracelet employs the same precise technique in a masterful display of the art of the goldsmith. Two orbs of lapis lazuli flecked with tiny hints of gold adorn each end. The bangle bracelet is of rich 18k yellow gold and displays a mesmerizing use of particularly tiny granulation to pattern the exterior surface.
