Steps of Brilliance - Emerald Cut Diamond Ring

$5,850 USD Item 11158

The emerald cut was a new cut of diamond that first became popular in the early 20th century. It personified the clean lines and crisp geometry reflected in that era. From the 1940s through the 1960s this cut graced many a woman's finger once again. Aesthetics still relied on geometry but expressed with far different sensibilities. One of our personal favorite cuts, its purity and refinement are undeniable.

This 0.72 carat, F color or better emerald cut has clarity of VS2. It is set within an elegant platinum mount that prominently rises up off the finger. It is termed a step cut, as the facets themselves almost resemble stair steps. Flanking the center gem are two diamond baguettes of trapezoid shape, each approximately .10 points apiece.

Condition: Excellent with light wear.

Hallmarks: “Plat” for platinum.
