French Empire Inspired Locket Pendant
The French empire period was noted for its impeccable styling and use of classical motifs. Here a theme of crossed garlands adorns this 20k yellow gold locket. Circular in form, the rim is banded; at three points the garlands cross the edge. The fitting at the top unscrews to enable the locket to open.
The 18k yellow gold chain is a later addition but of an antique date. Fine and feminine, a diamond shape is patterned with coils of gold wire.
