Victorian Two Color Gold Diamond Ring
One of the more favored settings during the Victorian era was the gypsy-set ring. Here the stone is set into a recess in the gold and then engraved to resemble a eight pointed star.
Centered within a square shaped plaque with engraved details, a lovely old mine cut diamond of .10 carats and color H-I has been placed in a dramatic gypsy setting. A wonderful textured, chased and engraved gold band displays motifs of nature in green and pink gold. The shank itself is banded with a simple unadorned border of pink gold. The interior has been engraved in flowing script with the initials “E. K.”
