Charms of an Edwardian Diamond Ring
Nothing charms like an Edwardian era jewel. Here is one petite in scale to perfectly match the proportions of the approximately .10 carat transitional cut (similar to a brilliant cut) diamond.
With the radiant gem centered in an open work 14k yellow gold mounting, please note the careful crafting with lovely side details and diamond shape open metal work on each shoulder. The band smoothly transitions with a descending slope into an unadorned shank.
Condition: Very good to excellent with light overall wear commensurate with age and use, one tiny separation of the gold on the interior underside.
Measures 1/4 of an inch (.6 cm) across and sits up 1/8 of an inch (.4 cm) from the finger. Currently a size US 6 - 6 1/4, British L 1/2, Euro 16.50 - 16.75, 52.5 mm). Weighs 1.3 g.
Date: Circa 1900 - 1910
Note: Diamond weight is approximate since the stone was not removed from its mount to preserve the integrity of the setting.
