French Mastery: Ruby & Diamond Antique Ring
An exquisitely designed ring that only the French can bring forth demonstrates masterful metal smithing pairing 18k yellow gold with platinum. Rose cut diamonds, twenty-eight (28) in all with a carat weight of less than .01 carats each, dot the surface of the platinum ribbon swags which crisscross the face of the ring.
Centered is the natural red (with hints of pink) ruby in a slightly oval cut sits within deeply worked gold floral motif of roses. Touches of Art Nouveau design shows as the tips and leaves of the roses embrace the surface as .60 carats of lusciously colored ruby in a prong or claw setting sits front and center. Weighty for its size and lavish in style, this antique ring is sure to steal glances.
