Prism of Light in a Victorian Locket
Ideal for holding memories in the form of a photo or sprig of curled hair, this antique locket of faceted glass opens with the click of a button and closes securely upon its sturdy hinge. Each side of the locket has a yellow gold gilded bezel, one with detail ornamentation. Although small in scale, the optical qualities of the faceted glass will create major refractions of colorful prismatic light.
Condition: Good; wear to top edges of the facets on both sides visible only upon very close inspection or with magnification. Light wear to gilding as commensurate with age and use.
Measurements: ¾ of an inch (1.9 cm) in length not including top fitting and 1-1/16 inches (2.7 cm) including by 11/16 of an inch (1.7 cm) in depth by 5/8 of an inch (1.6 cm) in width. This antique locket pendant has a weight of 5.5 grams.
