Victorian Antique Cut Steel Bracelet

$1,650 USD Item 11005

Cut steel jewelry, although having been fabricated since the 17th century, was extremely popular during the mid-Victorian era and often rivaled diamond-set pieces for their intricacy and beauty. Please see our Reference section in Helpful Terms and Glossary for additional information.

A circle of steel provides the foundation for seven rows of faceted solid cut steel beads set closely together. The perimeter is accented with a scalloped border formed of open work faceted cut steel beads. Cleverly constructed, this antique bracelet opens easily and closes securely with a clasp but is not hinged. The solid steel backing flexes when the clasp is opened. This striking cut steel bracelet retains that characteristic desirable shimmer; it still remains highly polished.
