Victorian Antique Cut Steel Bracelet

A circle of steel provides the foundation for seven rows of faceted solid cut steel beads set closely together. The perimeter is accented with a scalloped border formed of open work faceted cut steel beads. Cleverly constructed, this antique bracelet opens easily and closes securely with a clasp but is not hinged. The solid steel backing flexes when the clasp is opened. This striking cut steel bracelet retains that characteristic desirable shimmer; it still remains highly polished.

Condition: Excellent although just a tad bit out of round.

Hallmarks: Interior has a faint black mark with numbers and the letters “gy” or something similar.

Measurements: Just shy of 1 inch (2.4 cm) in width and has an inner circumference of approximately 7 inches (17.8 cm). The antique bracelet has a weight of 40.6 grams.

Date & Origin: Circa 1870; most likely English in origin.
