Glamour Entwined - Antique Diamond Statement Ring

During the 19th century there was a spate of revival styles in jewelry. This circa 1880 Georgian revival ring is dramatic in impact and quite large in scale. Beset with openwork, it features three (3) old mine cut diamonds positioned vertically and centered within a trellis-like silver mount. These stones range in size from approximately .25 carats for the largest flanked by those of about .15 carats apiece.

As wildflowers scattered amidst a field, twenty-eight (28) rose cut diamonds, all about .01 to .02 carats in size, accent the setting. The estimated total diamond weight for the accent stones is .35 carats bring the entire estimated diamond weight to a total of .90 carats. Scrolling S-shaped curved shoulders of 14k yellow gold openwork gently taper into a silken gold shank.

Condition: Very good; two old but secure stresses (as seen on the back interior); light wear to shank with a tad bit of softening of side detail. Evidence of old resizing visible with magnification.

Measurements: 1 inch (2.6 cm) at the widest and has a weight of 5.1 grams. Currently is a size US 6 (British L-1/2; Euro 16.50, 52 mm) and can be easily sized up or down by our jewelers.
