Tourmaline Modernist Ring

$1,750 USD Item 10940

In the style of the 1960s to 1970s modernist jeweler, Andrew Grima, this ring is bold and statement making. A rectangular frame encloses a highly polished gold backdrop at the top. Creating a mirror-like reflection that opposes an icicle-like trellis of textured gold, the ring is set with six marquise-shaped green tourmalines engaged in elaborate Italian 18k yellow gold work. The reverse displays fine construction throughout and the sculptural looped backing for the face of the ring.

Condition: Excellent; evidence of tiny bubbles of gold on the reverse due to previous resizing visible with very close inspection or a loupe; otherwise mint.

Hallmarks: 18k and Italy.
