Doorway to the Past - Locket Pendant

$1,750 USD Item 10922

This is a marvelous Edwardian pendant locket crafted out of 18k rose gold. One face of the locket represents a window with shutters set within an outer brick wall. Pushing the little button on the top orb clicks open the shuttered window to reveal a glass covered locket area. The compartment is especially deep (4 cm) and can hold more than just a photograph or lock of hair. The shutters open and close smoothly.

The other side has a family coat of arms carved into sardonyx. This stone consists of layers of reddish-brown and layers of white, interspersed with reddish brown. The arms consists of a crown surmounting a red shield with a silver “chief” (band) on top and a silver “bend indented” (diagonal points). Below in a banner is the family motto in French “Oubliez Ne Puis” (You Cannot Forget). The coat of arms is set against an interior brick wall.
