Baroque Pearl Rose Diamond Earrings
Circa 1930, these are the earrings for which everyone searches. Pearls and diamonds are the combination that works from boardroom to red carpet. Twenty-six (26) rose cuts embellish the platinum mount of each earring. Diamonds are melees of about .01 carats each for a total diamond estimated weight of approximately one half carat (.50). All with good luster, the half pearls are slightly baroque with creamy white, pink and beige tones. Each pearl is about 10 mm wide and 6 mm high.
With a lovely basket weave design on the reverse and a post ear fitting, each measures more than 1/2 an inch (1.4 cm) in diameter and just under 3/8 of an inch (0.9 cm) in thickness. Each pearl measures 10 mm in diameter. The pair of earrings weighs 6 grams. In very good condition; a slight separation between pearl and mount on each earring and a spot of glue is evident, however all secure; one pearl warmer tones than the other.
Note: All diamond weights are approximate since the stones were not removed from their mounts to preserve the integrity of the setting.
