Art Deco Ruby & Diamond Ring
Petite in scale and tailored with an understated grace, this platinum topped 18k yellow gold ring employs rich colors and contrasting stones give a true sense of sophistication to this piece.
Set within a geometric border of six (6) brilliant cut diamonds of approximately .025 carats each rests a square cut ruby estimated at .15 carats. Teardrop or pear shaped rubies adorn shoulders that gently transition into a fine gold band. Delicate mille grain edgework accent each gemstone. Estimated total diamond weight is .15 carats; estimated total ruby weight is .25 to .30 carats.
Measures just shy of ½ of an inch (1.2 cm) by 3/8 of an inch (0.9 cm) and rises just less than 1/8 of an inch (0.3 cm) off the finger. Currently a size US 7-1/4 (British O; Euro 17.50, 55.5 mm). Can be sized up or down to fit most. Has a weight of 1.4 grams. Maker’s mark "B&K" plat 18ct and probably a style or model number of 1184. In very good condition; light wear as commensurate with age and use. English in origin and dates to circa 1930.
