Platinum and Diamond Band c.1940

$1,750 USD Item 10732

The eternity ring has been referred to by jewelry expert Diana Scarisbrick in "Rings: Jewelry of Power, Love and Loyalty” as one of the two “most significant innovations over the past hundred years.” She sees them as “simple hoops encrusted with small diamonds or coloured stones given to mark anniversaries and worn in bands on the finger like bracelets on the wrist.” What beautiful imagery to assist in describing this platinum band channel set with forty-three (43) diamonds of .01 carats each with a total diamond weight of .43 carats, color F-G and VS-SI in clarity. Simple, tasteful and lasting forever.

Measures 1/16 of an inch (0.2 cm) in width and has a weight of 2.1 grams. Currently a size US 6-1/4 (British M; Euro 16.75, 53 mm). Due to the construction this ring cannot be sized. Dates to circa 1940.

Note: All diamond weights and color grades are approximate since the stones were not removed from their mounts to preserve the integrity of the setting.
