Bejeweled & Beribboned: French Floral Ring

$1,150 USD Item 10615

At the turn of the 20th century the famed Paris Exposition Universelle was capturing the attention of the entire modern world. More than 57 million visitors from all over the globe came to view the wonders of the present and to gasp at the marvels that awaited them in the future.

This fantastic French 18k yellow gold ring represents an example of that cutting edge technology seen for the first time in the incorporation of the then new synthetic ruby. How fortunate for us that no one decided to replace the stone. An action which would have marred the beauty of the piece and reduced its value as no longer being the original gemstone. Superb detailing of the mount displays a flower and ribbon motif as the sides and shoulders sport fine scrollwork and fleur-de-lys.

Size: Currently a size US 4-3/4 (British J; Euro 15.75, 49.5 cm). This may be sized up or down to fit most by our team of expert jewelers.
