Hearts & Flowers in an Engagement Wedding Ring
Long ago a ring of yellow gold was chased with golden flowers and within a heart of white gold rests a single cut diamond. And another ring of yellow gold and golden flowers…with two white hearts united. To this day the rings remain as one bonded with touches of gold.
Measures 3/8 of an inch (0.9 cm) in width and rises 1/8 of an inch (0.3 cm) from the finger. Has a weight of 3.7 grams. Diamond is approximately .07 carats. 14k gold. Currently a US size 8 (British P-1/2; Euro 18.00, 57 mm). Indiscernible hallmarks. Condition is good; overall medium wear; later date gold has joined the two rings. Dates to circa 1930.
Note: All diamond weights are approximate since the stones were not removed from their mounts to preserve the integrity of the setting.
