These double-sided cufflinks would make a handsome addition to any accessory wardrobe. Oval medallions of 14k gold have been richly detailed with an outstanding pattern of a basket weave design and surrounded by impressed gold rims. A flattened oval wire bridge securely joins the plaques one to the other.
Measures more than ¾ of an inch in length by ½ of an inch in width (1.8 cm long by 1.3 cm wide) and has an impressive weight of 16.7 grams. The links are hallmarked for 14k gold. In very good condition; light wear commensurate with age and use. A few tiny scratches on surface are visible only with magnification, otherwise nothing of note with no evidence of restoration or repair. Dates to circa 1910 – 1920 and American in origin.
