Superior Stuart Crystal Cufflinks
Without any doubt this is the most sharp and clear Stuart crystal we have had the good fortune to offer. The rock crystal is almost faultlessly white and the facets on each edge so crisp that they border on glittery. The pink foiling is as vivid as the day the cufflinks were fashioned. Tiny cyphers of gold atop a black ground sit at the base. Square and larger in size, the links measure 7/8 of an inch each way (1.15 cm). All original with original S links of silver and the pair has pinched cut-down settings and rubbed over settings.
Condition: Visually and when worn, superb; again the brightest and cleanest we have had pleasure to represent. One crystal has a tiny chip only visible with a loupe; one with a tiny scratch on the width; one with a more substantial chip on one corner with the silver a touch dimpled that is difficult to see when worn. Circa 1680 - 1720.
