Antique Platinum & Diamond Ring
Bezel set diamonds are the focus of this glorious and elegant ring. The center diamond is a modified very deep old European cut with a color of H-I. It weighs approximately .50 carats. On each end the next two largest diamonds weigh approximately .10 to .12 carats, one is a G color and the other is a K-L color. The two side diamonds are old mine cuts and are a G-H color and weigh .01 to .02 carats for a total weight of about .90 to .95 carats. All set into a platinum mount.
The ring is in excellent condition but has been resized and there is trace evidence of this. Currently a size US 7-1/2 (UK O-1/2; Euro 17.75; 56 mm) but is easily sized to fit most. Together the three diamonds measure just over 1/2 of an inch or 1.3 cm in height. Circa 1910 - 1915.
Note: All diamond weights and color grades are approximate since the stones were not removed from their mounts to preserve the integrity of the antique setting.
