Just like cats and dogs the world over, this pair of natural adversaries are poised face-to-face on opposing ends of a 9k rose gold bar brooch. Finely detailed in silver, a terrier dog takes a defiant stance against his venerable feline opponent depicted with her back arched and tail at full mast. If you listen closely enough you can hear the sound of hissing. Measuring just less than 2-1/2 inches or 6.4 cm in length, each silver animal is just less than ½ of an inch or 1.1 cm in height. In excellent condition with a rather clever original safety catch that swings upward to hold pin in place. Delightfully Art Deco and dates to circa 1920.
