Triumphant Antique Silver Victorian Cuff in Box

SOLD Item 10266

An engraved enchanting sterling silver Victorian bracelet comes nestled within its original box. Wide at 1-5/16 inches (3.3 cm), it easily carries its own weight or pair it with other silver cuffs. As silver made a major comeback around 1870 and continued for the next decade or two, quite a variety of silver jewelry was produced. Many had bright-cut engraving as does this bracelet decorated with a glorious floral pattern within geometry. It is touching to note the inner engraving, "Therese Allen from W.A. and A.M.S.". Certainly a token of affection from a friend or loved one.

The original box is deep brown in color and has maroon toned leather with gold embossed incising. The interior is vivid blue silk and purple velvet. Condition is very good with light wear to the back and to one raised area (see photos) with a few slight deeper scratches. Closes securely. Fits a wrist 6-3/4 inches or less.
