Good Things - French Garnet & Pearl Ring
Good things do come in threes. Here rich and warm faceted garnets are placed in a diagonal row of three. Beside them recline two flanked rows each of four (4) natural seed pearls. Again, another two bands of three garnets attend to each side. All set into 18k rose gold well suited to the wine and orange toned garnets. Matching the theme, the band begins with three parts and then concludes as one at the sides and in the back.
Petite to medium in scale and lightweight, it works well on many a hand. In lovely condition with a sizing to the band at some point; done well and not at all evident except with the closest of examination. Ever so slightly out of round. Measures 7/8 of an inch at the widest (1.1 cm) and is currently a size 8 (UK P; Euro 18.25, 57 mm). Can be sized to fit most. Circa 1890.
