Venetian Glass Miniature Vase Set
With an ambience that echoes stone paved streets, bricked piazzas and glorious canals, Venetian glass has been held in the highest regard from the 13th century to this very day. This set of four hand blown miniature bud vases offer a marvelous display of the use of color for which this glass is famous. One is clear with gold flecks and lovely tones of pink; another is regal in tones of plum with gold flecks; and two just glow with flecks of gold and tones of light amber. Each has the pointelle on its base.
These hand crafted vases vary in size but each is approximately 1-3/4 inches (4.5 cm) in height, at the top 1-5/16 inches (4.2 cm) in width and 13/16 inches (4.2 cm) in width at the base. In excellent condition. Dates to circa late 19th to early 20th century. Charming for small flowers or buds.
