Squared Away - Art Deco Diamond Ring
See what you want to see...squares, a floral burst, fleur-de-lis...and it is all there. A deceptively simple design reveals complex patterns in rich pierced platinum with a kaleidoscope of diamonds. Art Deco and a touch of Edwardian combine forces in this antique ring. Circa 1915, this chic jewel contains a mix of brilliant cut diamonds that includes old Europeans, single cuts and modern type brilliants.
In all thirteen (13) diamonds with the center diamond a modern brilliant with an approximate weight of .17 carats. Its neighbors are approximately .05 carats each in weight for a total estimated diamond weight of .77 carats. (We have not removed these stones to obtain exact weights). This compendium of gems ranges from G-I color, clarity range of S-SI. Condition is excellent with light wear overall. Measures 9/16 of an inch each way (1.4 cm each way) and sits up off the finger at more than 3/16 of an inch (0.6 cm). Currently a size 5 1/2 (UK K;Euro 16) cut can easily be sized. Hallmarked with a partially visible "platinum" mark on the interior. Possession is definitely more fulfilling than desire.
