Art Nouveau Sterling Silver Brooch
As a style Art Nouveau has often been characterized as "feminine" in nature. When the female form is depicted it is as an idealized and elegant iconic image. This brooch is a classic example of a rendering of such stylized beauty. With its sensuous curves and fluidity of moment, the lines of a woman's face and the undulating curve of the flower showcase the deep shadows and mirror-like silver highlights have been enhanced by a rich patina (which can be polished if desired).
