Story

The Victorians with their ever inventive minds, were the first to use a type of setting often referred to as a buttercup. So named for its arched U shapes which lead into prongs that can hold a diamond or gemstone. Named for the flower, it often resembles petals of a bloom.

Here the buttercup holds a riveting cobalt blue sapphire of a half a carat. On each shoulder rest deeply carved swirling patterns in 14k soft hued yellow gold. Its ready for another 150 years to love and care.
